I've put 300k miles on my 08 crv, almost all highway One slight drawback is that to achieve this mileage, honda recommends premium (91 octane) fuel. The rav 4 will win in the efficiency category overall, but crv will have availability, no markups, better interior styling (imo) more interior space and better driving experience.
